What happened in Hawaii? Bounty Hunter Stephanie Plum’s dream vacation didn’t turn out as planned and she had to sneak out of Hawaii to escape more problems.
Trouble is waiting for her in New Jersey as well. The person she was seated with on the plane didn’t make it back after the layover in Los Angeles and the Bail Bonds business is operating out of a bus. To make matters worse, the FBI wants to talk to Stephanie, nemesis Joyce Barnhart moved into her apartment, and she isn’t ready to talk to Morelli or Ranger about Hawaii.
I thoroughly enjoyed this installment in the Stephanie Plum series. It was a laugh-out-loud quick read perfect for a busy holiday weekend. Recently I’ve though Janet Evanovich’s books have been a bit soft, but she was back on pace with this book.
There’s a lot of Evanovich hype for the January 27, 2012 release of the movie, One For the Money, based on the first book in the popular Stephanie Plum series. Katherine Heigl landed the “Plum” role in the series and she will be joined by Jason O’Mara (Morelli), Daniel Sunjata (Ranger), Debbie Reynolds (Grandma Mazur), and Sherri Shepherd (Lula). It will be interesting to see how the book translates to the big screen!
