What a week for books!  The new C.J. Box is out and it’s a page turner!  Joe Pickett is back and is forced to revisit the tragic death of his foster-daughter, April (see Box’s 2003 novel Winterkill), when someone claiming to be April begins sending text messages to his older daughter, Sheridan.  Joe must balance his determination to save April with his distrust and, unfortunately, dependence on other law enforcement agencies, especially the FBI.

C.J. Box is one of my favorite authors and I liked this book on many levels.  First, the book is set in places where I’ve traveled including Wyoming, Craig, Colorado, and Devil’s Tower National Monument.  Second, it’s my guess that C.J. Box lives with a couple of teenagers.  His description of teenagers and texting is right-on.

Tomorrow the NEW EVANOVICH is released!  ~~Enjoy~~
