Louis XVI was guillotined, you’ll recall, and when the monarchy was restored after Napoleon, Louis XVIII took the throne.  But what of XVII, imprisoned as a child and reported dead during the revolution?  Imagine he survived, damaged enough that he himself does not know his true identity.  Who could untangle such a mess?

Vidocq.  The greatest detective of his time.  Scourge of the underworld.  Master of disguise.  Brilliant.  Ruthless.  Also, rude, crude, egomaniacal, and a little smelly.  Just the man.

Strong characters, diabolical plotting, an education in french history, and a few final plot twists await the reader.

Where would you find me in the Library:
At the Reference Desk at the top of the stairs
Interesting facts:
I have the useless superpower of always knowing within a few minutes, what time it is.
When I sing, flowers wilt, babies cry, angels molt.
I've had panties thrown at me onstage at the Mill.
