Second chances. How many times in life have we all wished for second chances? In Allison Winn Scotch’s second novel, protagonist Jillian Westfield gets a second chance after a "chi adjustment" sends her seven years back in time to her life with former boyfriend, Jackson. Jillian’s bohemian lifestyle with Jackson in New York City is contrasted with a her sterile former (future) life with a perfect husband, child and house in the suburbs. Jillian soon realizes that things are not always what they seem and choices and decisions impact destiny. Jillian begins on a road of self-discovery and realizes that instead of molding herself into the person she thinks people want her to be, her future ultimately depends on her ability to forge a meaningful life on her own terms. The catch is that hindsight is not always 20/20. ~~ Enjoy ~~
