3 Cities by the Bombay Dub Orchestra

3 Cities by the Bombay Dub Orchestra Cover Image

The title of this CD refers to the three cities where the tracks were recorded: Mumbai, Chennai, and London, but the vibe is definitely Indian. The Bombay Dub Orchestra, created by British producers Andrew T. Mackay and Garry Hughes along with mixing engineer Daman Sood, consists of a large string orchestra, folk instruments, drums and keyboards with guest soloists and vocalists. The strings offer lush layers of sound over a strong bass element with drums and other percussion.  Nothing earth-shattering here, but very mellow. I guess I would describe it as Bollywood chill.
