The Wednesday Sisters by Meg Waite Clayton Cover Image

A group of five women learn about life, love, friendship and loyalty in an adult "coming of age" novel set against a backdrop of the late 1960s, Civil Rights, Women’s Movement, and Vietnam War protests.  The women, who initially define themselves through their husband’s careers, find their own voice when they begin meeting weekly in a park and become friends.  The Wednesday Sisters officially begin when they form a writing circle and begin critiquing their prose and poetry.  Through their writing, and within their support network, each identifies personal dreams and aspirations that they begin to work towards.  This is a wonderful book that I highly recommend.  ~~ Enjoy ~~
